Overview
The company of Schmidt & Bender
was founded in 1957 by the precision mechanic Helmut Schmidt and the
master precision mechanic Helmut Bender. Under the so-called house
brands of GECO, HORRIDO, AKAH they manufactured scopes for German
wholesalers, which are often still in use by hunters many years later.
It was only at the beginning of
the seventies when a refined line of scopes was launched on the market
under the own brand of Schmidt & Bender. Ten years later, the series
of scopes with centered reticles made the decisive breakthrough toward
a permanently successful market position.
Owing to active marketing during
the following years, it was possible to develop Schmidt & Bender into
an independent brand appreciated by hunters all over the world.

Schmidt & Bender scopes were
originally designed for hunting from a stand, by moonlight in Germany,
where night hunting is legal. That explains the exceptional light
transmission and brilliance for which Schmidt & Bender scopes are
known.

Power
Our Classic variable power scopes
offer exceptionally wide magnification ranges, giving you the
flexibility of hunting in forest or open prairie. Schmidt & Bender
variables are extremely precise, with no shift in point of impact
across the entire magnification range.
For long-range shooting of small
targets, our 4–16 x 50 Varmint scope is the perfect choice.
Exceptional light transmission and a wide magnification range also
allow it to perform double duty as an all-around hunting scope.
Special reticles, including one with rangefinding capablities, allow
you to place a precise shot to 800 yards

So distinctive is the design of
Schmidt & Bender's Zenith riflescopes, that upon their introduction
they earned the prestigious international IF Design Award, and were
selected by Field & Stream magazine as the "Best of the
Best." Their streamlined elegance results in compact, efficient scopes
that complement, not dominate, your rifles.
The full magnification range can
be covered in just one 180 degree rotation—a mere half turn—of the
adjustment dial. Eye relief is a safe and comfortable 90 mm (3 1/2
inches). Our POSICON system provides a graphic indication of the
reticle's position and remaining travel within the scope, facilitating
mounting, sighting in, and insuring that you retain as much elevation
and windage adjustment as possible.

Precision Hunter
The Precision Hunter riflescopes
are based upon four of our most popular Classic series scopes, each
equipped with a top-mounted bullet drop compensator and reticles
designed to let you place an accurate shot at long ranges.
The elevation adjustment knob has
graduations and numbers that allow you to create a custom distance
chart for your preferred caliber. Blank elevation rings are also
available with markings you can record after sighting in your rifle.
All Precision Hunter scopes have 30mm tubes.
Military & Police
This is the type of
comment we hear time and time again from military and law enforcement
professionals, faced with high-stress situations under the most
difficult circumstances. Our Police Marksman II riflescopes are in use
around the world, from crowded urban environments to the most brutal
desert, by highly trained shooters who know that a life–perhaps even

All PM II variable
power scopes are built upon 34mm tubes to provide the maximum possible
windage and elevation adjustments along with finer click stops.

Warranty & Service
A scope for a lifetime. Or two.
Service for your riflescope is guaranteed to be available for up to 30
years after its original delivery. During the first 10 years, that
service is free of charge if the problem is due to material or
manufacturing defects.
All repair orders are confirmed to the client immediately after the
scope arrives. When repairs are completed, your scope is returned
along with a diagnostic report detailing the work that was performed.
With very old riflescopes, our service staff will provide you with a
cost estimate.
All scope repairs are handled in
Germany, under the factory's control. Many times a loaner scope can be
provided to you to keep you in the field until your scope is returned.
Upgrading an older scope
A popular service we can provide is the upgrading of an older scope
from a standard to an illuminated reticle. Schmidt & Bender scopes
with serial numbers below 10,000 (for variable models) and below
35,000 for the 8 x 56 fixed power can be retrofitted with illuminated
reticles. Every conversion includes a thorough cleaning and a
meticulous refilling with nitrogen. You will not even have to re-zero
your scope, as we record the original reticle adjustment and transfer
the settings to your new illuminated reticle.
Accessories
We offer a selection of accessories including lens hoods, yellow and
green filters, protective eyepiece covers and more, most of which can
be attached to the threaded lens mount.
